The Group was founded in 1879, and in 2023 the turnover was 665,4 million euros. Kverneland Group’s factories are located in Norway, Denmark, Germany, France, The Netherlands, Italy, Russia and China. The Group has own sales companies in 17 countries and exports to another 60 countries. At the end of 2023, Kverneland Group had 2,863 employees, of which 79% worked outside Norway.
A Long Respected Tradition
The history of Kverneland dates back to 1879 when the founder, Ole Gabriel Kverneland, built a forge to manufacture scythes, in the village of Kvernaland near Stavanger in Norway. Later O.G. Kverneland started production of small ploughs. Kverneland remained a family owned and managed business until the company was listed on the stock exchange in 1983.

2019 - Celebrating 140 years of business
Kverneland Group celebrates its corporate anniversary of 140 years, as a leading international company developing, producing and distributing agricultural machinery and services.
2022 – Kverneland Group acquires ROC
Kverneland Group acquires 80% of the shares in ROC S.R.L. located in Italy. ROC is a global pioneer in the development and manufacturing of mergers, further strengthening Kverneland Group’s strategic commitment to hay and forage harvesting
2023 –Kverneland Group acquires BC Technique S.A.S
On 31st January 2023, Kverneland Group signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in BC Technique S.A.S., a leading producer of inter-row cultivators, rotary hoes, guidance interfaces and tine harrows, which are distributed under the Phenix Agrosystem brand. Later in 2023 the factory merged with Kverneland Group and the location is now known as Kverneland Group Arcy-Sur-Cure
