Kverneland Klepp is located in the agriculture region of South West Norway. A country with the toughest soil conditions on earth: very stony. Ole Gabriel Kverneland with agriculture and blacksmith competences founded his forge there in 1879. He invented unique robust steels to produce ploughs able to withstand these conditions.
Since then, the site is dedicated to the manufacturing of Kverneland ploughs. They are robust and easy to set for high performance. Our steel laboratories work in close collaboration with European steel mills to develop new Kverneland steels. They gain new competences after Kverneland’s renowned heat treatment technology applied to them: able to bend under extreme forces and to return to their original shape or to become as hard as diamond for some wearing parts.
The ISOBUS technology benefits some plough models while new designed parts focus on a unique durability, safety, efficiency, productivity at the farm. Values that make Kverneland ploughs reputed for their quality worldwide.
